The Illumina Internet SDS Search Help Page

The Illumina Internet Safety Data Sheet (SDS) search page is a search engine that displays published Illumina GHS compliant SDSs. The web viewer retrieves files that are only accessible if the client has the appropriate software to open the files; for instance, PDF documents require Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The SDS search page allows for the entry of search criteria to locate and view a required SDS. Any combination of search criteria may be entered to limit search results; however, search criteria must be an exact match. The different search options are described below:

Kit Catalog, Box, Cartridge, Reagent, or Plate Number:

A search in this field can be executed to find all the product documents associated with a specific kit (e.g. MS-102-2021), a specific box (e.g. 20003766), a specific cartridge (e.g. 15063635), a specific reagent (e.g. 15035446) or a specific plate. SDSs are not created for kits/boxes/cartridges as a whole, instead Illumina provides SDSs at the reagent level so that each reagent within a kit/box/cartridge has its own SDS. Searching by a Catalog Number will provide multiple results because the web viewer will pull EVERY data sheet that is tied to that specific catalog item. If searching at the kit level does not yield results, a search may need to be performed at the box and/or cartridge level. On most Illumina products, the "REF" number will be the appropriate number to be entered.

Region/Country:

The Region/Country selector allows for the searching for and location of SDS documents in specified regional document templates. Only one region/country may be selected at a time.

Language Selection:

The Language selector allows for the searching for and location of SDS documents in various available languages. Only one language may be selected at a time.
